H.Reynaud is a familly company.
H. Reynaud and sons was set up in Provence (in Montbrun les Bains) in 1898 by Henri Reynaud. Crops of wild lavender and distillation were a complementary income to his main activity : the hotel trade.
After the first world war, h. Reynaud was more particulary interested in developping, trading and exporting essential oils cultivated in Provence (lavender, lavandin, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, sage, mint...).
In the 1950’s, the company began importing and trading essential oils produced in foreign countries (patchouli, vetivert, ylang-ylang, geranium, ...).
In the 1960’s, thanks to new technologies, H. Reynaud added other specialities such as : extractions of oils from resinoids, gums imported from the middle east and far east.
In the 1970’s, Reynaud created the perfume departement by producing compounds.
Then, in the end of the 1980’s, reynaud developped in Saint Didier area the oil trade for food industry (mint for chewing-gum, beverages, ...) and flavors.
In the meantime, in order to increase exports which represent 90 % of reynaud turnover, a lot of affiliates and joint ventures were set up in the world.
In france, Reynaud includes 2 units ( Montbrun-les-Bains and Saint-Didier).
